Water wells for Africa
For just the cost of a bottle of water, you can make a difference.
A small donation of just $1.00 or $2.00 may seem like a small sacrifice, but it truly does make a difference in our world.
MAKING A DIFFERENCE IN SIERRA LEONE
Sierra Leone is, sadly, the poorest country in the world.
In 2007 Karen and I took a 2 week trip to Sierra Leone in support of our church’s missionary family living there. This experience changed our lives forever. Before leaving, I asked our missionary what he believed to be the greatest need in Sierra Leone. His answer came quickly...water. We decided to get involved with Africa Oasis Project.
Each well serves around 2,000 people.
That means it costs only about $3.50 to provide clean water for 20 years. A small donation of just $1 or $2, the cost of a single bottle of water, seems like such a small sacrifice but it truly makes a difference in our world.

Most children in Sierra Leone are not so fortunate. According to recent report by UNICEF, 78% of the children between the ages of 7 and 14 are engaged in child labor.
The study, which covered one quarter of the world's population, ranked Sierra Leone last among nations surveyed. Our Christian faith teaches that it is not enough to tell people about Jesus without attempting to provide for their human needs (James 2:14-17).
Can you help us make a difference in Africa?
