Licorice Candy Memory
When I was very young (early 1970's) my cousin (a teenager) walked us down to a corner store with her fun friend who wore HUGE rollers in her hair. Two amazing things I remember from that visit: it was the first time I was able to pick out my own candy. I got a red licorice whip and two marshmallows! The other amazing thing, I found out later that I was named after that friend with the big rollers!! That was the day my love for all things candy started (going strong for more than 50 years!).
