S'mores are a combination of a Grahm Cracker and chocolate bar usually melted over an open camp fire. The name is a contraction of the phrase "some more" probably because they are so good you will want more. The first published recipe for a S'more is found in a recipe book published by the Campfire Marshmallows company in the early 1920s. At that time it was called a "Graham Cracker Sandwich." Somewhere along the line the name was change to S'mores.
