Just like I remembered.

My Mom and my Grandma both would get the wintergreen Rito Mints when I was growing up. They always had a small dish of them on the table. I remember after eating lunch I would always grab a hand full of them before I headed back outside to play. This candy brings back a lot of old memories of days of no care in the world. Now I know they are available again I will be keeping myself well supplied.

Great surprise

I have been eating the Canada wintergreen mints for as long as I can remember and when the company sold, and the new owners shut down the line to retool I was afraid it would never come back. I was hesitant to try the RITO mints because I thought I would be disappointed.
WOW !! Was I ever wrong, not only are these just as good, but I also think they are a little better than the Canada mints and have switched over to buying these now. I love the slightly stronger wintergreen flavor they provide.

When my 2 sisters and I were young, back in the late 50’s, our Dad would take us to the neighborhood playground. When we were playing in the sandbox, Dad would toss coins into the sand when we weren’t looking. We really thought we were finding lost treasure!

When I was a kid we always got Good and Plenty when we went to the movies. My sister would only eat the pink ones, even though I kept telling her they tasted the same as the white ones. Just seeing them today reminds me of my little sister and the sweet taste of black licorice.
