When I was a kid, these were three for a penny, and they still taste good

Mary Janes

The candy arrived fresh. These rounded Mary Janes are much easier on the teeth than the rectangular ones!

Not the same good taste

Did not like. No peanut butter content. Too small and not as tasty as the original one.

I loved the Mary Jane's. They are 1/2 the size of what they use to be, but so. Tasty still.

I wish they would make it in the original size.

I never received it

Mary Jane

I loved my purchase only thing is why were the Mary Jane's shaped like tootsie roll instead of the rectangular shape. In order to really get the taste you had to eat at least four at a time . They still tasted the same but just wasn't enough withe tootsie roll size. I'm not complaining just saying.

Not the Original

Not as good as the original, to small. Needs original size and peanut butter content

Sheri K. (Dripping Springs, TX, US)
Great... as I expected

I have always loved Mary Jane's. They are just as I remember them when I was a child. My only disappointment is they have gotten smaller.. like everything else. I certainly continue to purchase them!

Candy memories

Everyone has their own special memories involving candy we grew up eating. We are very excited to hear yours!

When my 2 sisters and I were young, back in the late 50’s, our Dad would take us to the neighborhood playground. When we were playing in the sandbox, Dad would toss coins into the sand when we weren’t looking. We really thought we were finding lost treasure!

This was back when this candy was called $100,000 bars, not 100 Grand bars. I remember going to my friend Cori's birthday party in elementary school, maybe third grade. At the party her mom told us that we were each going to get $100,000...

When I was a kid we always got Good and Plenty when we went to the movies. My sister would only eat the pink ones, even though I kept telling her they tasted the same as the white ones. Just seeing them today reminds me of my little sister and the sweet taste of black licorice.
