Well, it is a funny story now but at the time it was embarrassing. I babysat for a neighbor once and she had Choward's violets mints on the table. I figured it was ok to try one and it was delicious and tasteful. By the end of the night I had loved them so much that I figured she wouldn't mind and I ate them. That night she said "wow" you smell nice...??? The scent was overwhelming and it stayed on me. After that I realized that those were the best breath mints ever and till this day I feel the same way. When I was a child I liked to buy Choward's Violet Mints. Violet mints are sweet, rich and have an incredible smell. Time passed and I looked, but can never find them in stores. One day by chance, I found them while searching the internet page of Old Time Candy... there I saw the candy I fell in love with as a child. I jump with joy and move fast to buy it. My parents, sister and grandparents and I all took a Christmas trip to Washington, DC and surrounding area in 1987. Love them, love them

Growing up in Louisiana we used to go to K & B to buy this candy. When K & B closed we couldn't find them anymore. My siblings and I love this candy and I am so happy that I can still have a small part of my childhood back. Thanks so much.
