Candy Memories

I thought candy necklaces were the coolest invention ever -- you got jewelry and sweets all in one. I loved the pastel colors, and there were even times when I coordinated by outfit with my pink-yellow-blue candy necklace. I imagined myself to be the best-dressed second-grader on the playground, and I would make my candy necklace last for several days by only nibbling off a few "beads" at a time. Lisbeth from Oklahoma
I remember my older cousins being allowed to walk us down to the neighborhood market to buy a treat. We always ended up with a bag of candy and it included at least one candy necklace for me. I used to eat it one piece at a time until the string got too sticky and bothered my neck, then I would gobble down the rest of the pieces. Leticia from Ohio
My parents used to give my sister and I a quarter for Sunday school and a quarter for the church collection plate. We diligently put our money in for our Sunday school class. However, during the break between Sunday School and church we found ourselves in the candy store next door. As the older sister I managed o "convince" my younger sister to spend our money on candy. We spent what seemed like hours trying to figure out which of our favorites we wanted to buy and how many we could get for our money. We usually got those candy necklaces, the vanilla, chocolate and strawberry coconut rectangles, some chocolate, Sweet Tarts, Necco wafers and whatever other kind of penny candy we could get. Audrey from Ohio

Old Fashioned Candy Lover

I ordered many different items from Old Time Candy for a friends birthday basket. It was so fun finding all of the old candies we ate growing up and giving them to her. An excellent gift idea, and everything was so fresh when it arrived. So much fun!! I recommend everyone take a trip down memory lane! Thank Old Time Candy....I will for sure be back!
