BBB

I was not disappointed with my BBB. A 3 pound bag was a little much.

Tasty, but too much food coloring!

The Boston Baked Beans that I purchased were tasty. They did taste quite similar to the ones that I grew up eating. The problem that I did have with the baked beans, was that there was way too much food coloring in the product. I kept noticing all of the red coloring on my tongue. I, after noticing the red color on my tongue, chewed on just one more of the candies, then, sorry to be so gross, I spit into the trash. Sooo much red. So very much red. I decided that, despite the good taste of the baked beans, there’s no way that I was going to continue eating them. I threw the entire rest of the 3 pound bag, which amounted to about 2 and 3/4 pounds, into the trash. No way will I order these again. And I never recall this ever happening with the original, Boston Baked Beans candy. This was a fail for me. Photo included of the bag of baked beans in the trash.

When my 2 sisters and I were young, back in the late 50’s, our Dad would take us to the neighborhood playground. When we were playing in the sandbox, Dad would toss coins into the sand when we weren’t looking. We really thought we were finding lost treasure!

This was back when this candy was called $100,000 bars, not 100 Grand bars. I remember going to my friend Cori's birthday party in elementary school, maybe third grade. At the party her mom told us that we were each going to get $100,000...

When I was a kid we always got Good and Plenty when we went to the movies. My sister would only eat the pink ones, even though I kept telling her they tasted the same as the white ones. Just seeing them today reminds me of my little sister and the sweet taste of black licorice.
