Even in August the Old Time Candy team is thinking about the holidays and Christmas Candy ideas.

Want to mix up your holiday dessert recipes? We did all the research for you and found some great recipes using some of our favorite holiday candy. A little intimidated by trying something new? All of these recipes are simple and fun, and if you start practicing now, you’ll be sure to have some of the best Christmas Candy recipes when the holiday season begins.

There’s something about sweet and salty that’s irresistible. This Santa Crunch Popcorn takes an all-time favorite snack and jazzes it up for the holidays with mini marshmallows, a mix of your favorite M&M’s, and of course, holiday sprinkles. This treat is so easy to make that it’s perfect for any holiday gathering or even a special family movie night.

These simple Reindeer Sugar Cookies are perfect for those who are busy (who isn’t during the holidays?) but still want to wow guests around the table. After preparing the sugar cookies you’ll only need two other ingredients; icing and M&M’s. You can choose to only make one Rudolph cookie with a red nose, but it’s hard to resist making them all that way when the red noses look so adorable.

This recipe is a great one to make with the kids since it requires limited ingredients and thus, limited clean-up time. After you’ve prepared the rice krispie mixture for these Marshmallow Krispie Treat Ornaments, all you’ll need are Rolos. The treats can be made in any color thanks to food coloring, so feel free to go beyond the traditional red and green.

Not only does this M&M Cookie Dough Stuffed Fudge taste great, it looks amazing and would be a great complement to any holiday spread. You’ll just need a few ingredients and M&M’s (we suggest extra for “taste-testing” while you cook). This treat can also be easily packaged and thus makes the perfect treat for teachers, neighbors, coaches, friends, or anyone else on your list.

During the holidays there’s not many things better than a cup of hot chocolate, and adding a Chocolate Dipped Candy Cane is a great way to take the classic treat to the next level. All you need are Candy canes, and chocolate chips or melting chocolate. You can customize this treat in many was as well such as using full-sized candy canes, miniature candy canes, or experimenting with different types of chocolate or toppings to roll the candy canes in after they’ve been dipped.
