Candy Memories

When a kid, the vegetable man in a old green bus would come down the alley selling vegies. On the dashboard he had penny candies. That was the start of my love for fireballs. I'm now 67 yrs old and I just bought 2 dozen fireballs at a Candy and Nut store this past month. Angela from Illinois
In elementary school we had these two gentlemen that drove our bused. Ronnie Mills was my drivers name. They were big ol teddy bears to me. I sat in the front and he would just talk about everything. The sunshine. The rain. The cartoons from the weekend. It never failed every Friday when I got off that bus he gave me a brown lunch bag filled with what to me was thousands of fireballs. He kept me smiling from Kindergarten to 5th grade and to this day I love a fireball and him. Nicole from North Carolina
Back when i was a kid in the sixties,my brothers and i would walk the back country roads picking up soda bottles. The bottles were worth 2 cents,we would take them to the country store to buy candy. My all time favorite were the atomic fireballs. Most times we would have enough bottles to get a nice bag of candy,a soda pop,and ice cream. Those were the days of a simple life.I grew up in upstate New York. Mark from Michigan
