We always called them Wax Bottles but officially they are known as Nik-L-Nips. Whatever you call them they are small wax bottles with flavored syrup inside. First bite off the top, suck out the liquid and then chew the wax, just like gum. A 4 oz bag contains about 15 pieces.

I remember always chewing and then swallowing bubblegum as a kid. My mom tried to get me to stop swallowing it by telling me that I would explode if I had enough built up in me. I didn’t believe her so I kept doing it anyway.

So one time my friend gave me a wax bottle and told me to drink it and then chew it like gum. So I did. Then just like gum I swallowed it. Not only did I swallow the wax, but I had also swallowed my loose tooth. I was so happy for that tooth to be gone. I stopped swallowing my gum after that because it was kind of painful.
