"candy you ate as a kid" story?
Share it here. When I was small, I used to spend almost every weekend with my paternal Grandmother. She was very particular about what I ate as a child, and candy was a forbidden thing. We would attend church on both Saturday evening and Sunday morning for services. If I was a 'good girl' and paid attention to the service and didn't squirm about, as children are known to do, I would be handed 3 Walnettos at the end of the service. Grandma would always tell me that they were a thank you from the 'Father, Son, and Holy Spirit' for behaving so well in their house.
Even today, when I eat a walnetto, I think of church, and Grandma. It is kind of a tribute to the fact that they taste 'Heavenly.' ~ Laurie from Mass.
