Caramel Apple Pops History

Caramel apple pops are a type of candy that combines the flavors of caramel and apple. The history of this popular treat can be traced back to the 1950s, when a candy company called Goetze's began making caramel creams, a chewy candy that was flavored with caramel and cream.

In the 1960s, Goetze's introduced a new version of their caramel creams, which were shaped like apples and had a green-colored coating on the outside. These new candies were called "Caramel Apple Pops" and were an instant hit with consumers.

Over the years, the recipe for Caramel Apple Pops has remained largely unchanged, although the packaging and marketing of the candy has evolved. Today, Caramel Apple Pops are sold in a variety of sizes and packaging options, and are a popular treat around Halloween and throughout the fall season.

In addition to the original Caramel Apple Pops, Goetze's has also introduced several other flavors of candy pops, including Strawberry Caramel Pops and Watermelon Caramel Pops. Despite the popularity of these other flavors, however, Caramel Apple Pops remain one of the most beloved and iconic treats in the Goetze's candy lineup.
