I remember the first time I had a Valomilk. It was back in the early 60s and my mother had brought one home from work and gave it to me. I was hooked from the start. As luck would have it we had one of those great little corner stores three blocks from my house. The kind that had the penny candy shelves behind the register. When I managed to get a nickel in my pocket I would go down there and buy a Valomilk.

I remember one time when I opened one there was a small gold tin foil disc inside and wrapped inside of it was a nickel. What a big treat that was for a kid in the 60s. I headed right back to the store and bought another one. To this day they are still number one in my book. ~ Rick from Minnesota
