Share it here.Thin Mints! My grandmother would have these, usually around Thanksgiving. We would go over to her house and I would immediately look for the mints. They were usually in the fridge, but sometimes she would try to hide them by sticking them in the back of the high shelf of the china cabinet. When all the adults were busy, I would pull a chair to the cabinet and climb up and nick off with the box of mints.
If they were better hidden, or the grown-ups were unusually attentive, Grandma would dole them out to me and my sister only one or two mints at a time, so we made them last. They had a perfect liquid texture. If you were careful, you could crack the chocolate and lick out the center, whereas the mint in competing brands was stiff; you had to chew them.
We never had them any time of the year except holidays at Grandma's. That made them extra special. ~Elizabeth in Pennsylvania
