These Pops share fond memories through the generations! When I was pregnant with my first child, I took a Lamaze class. The instructor suggested that it would be a good idea to bring sour candies to the hospital to help with your thirst during labor. I looked around and couldn't quite find something I thought I would like. Suddenly I spotted the Charms Pops in an "Old Fashion" Candy Store! My husband said my face lit up as I approached the display! I bought 20 of them, because it had been years since I had seen them! At our next class I was telling our instructor about the Charms and she went to the store and bought them out! She also handed them out to all the couples in our class! When our little baby boy was born, pops "worked like a Charm." ~ Dawn from Wisconsin
I grew up in New Jersey near a Charms factory. Some of the truck drivers from the factory would keep a box of the candy on the seat next to them. When we kids saw a Charms truck we would all yell "CHARMS!", and the driver would throw some packs of the candy! Think how cool this was for a kid! Also, think how angry our mothers would be because we couldn't eat our dinner! ~Jim from New Jersey |
