Sweet and Sour Pops memories... I
remember man years a go when I was a child going on long trips with my
parents and thinking the drive was never going to end. When ever we
would stop to get gas and to stretch I would always run into the store
with excitement and gleam in my eye look for my favorite candy, sweet n
sour pops. I would savor the sweet and the sour side of the sucker with
a big smile on my face and giggles the whole ride there and the ride did
not seem so boring after all. I would love to share the great taste of
this Sucker with my kids now. I would love to watch my kids smile and
giggle while savoring this candy. ~ Lisa from California
When I was in Junior High School
there was a candy truck that would wait outside of the school gates
every morning. For some reason, one morning I purchased about 15 Sweet
and Sour Pops and other kids wanted loved them and wanted some so I
started passing them out.
I started buying lots of Charms
every morning for about a week and kids circled me in the morning to get
a free pop. Then one morning, I overheard someone in the group say "what
is she trying to do, buy friends?" That hurt my feelings and I never
purchased another one. That notwithstanding, I have been searching for
this delicious candy for years to share it with my husband and children!

These Pops share fond memories
through the generations! When I was pregnant with my first child, I took
a Lamaze class. The instructor suggested that it would be a good idea to
bring sour candies to the hospital to help with your thirst during
labor. I looked around and couldn't quite find something I thought I
would like.
Suddenly I spotted the Charms
Pops in an "Old Fashion" Candy Store! My husband said my face lit up as
I approached the display! I bought 20 of them, because it had been years
since I had seen them! At our next class I was telling our instructor
about the Charms and she went to the store and bought them out! She also
handed them out to all the couples in our class! When our little baby
boy was born, pops "worked like a Charm." ~ Dawn from Wisconsin
