Super Bubble Gum memories... My
memory with Super Bubble Gum is a great one. I came from a small town in
Iowa and the gentleman who owned the diner in town also drove one of the
school buses. He always had Super Bubble Gum in his pockets to pass out
to us kids on the bus and other kids he would pass as well. It was great
because I was usually starving because I hated the school lunch. Super
Bubble Gum took the edge off. ~ Kitty from Minnesota
My love for Super Bubble Gum may
have started as a child when Mother gave me a nickel and I used to walk to the candy store in town to get me some Super Bubble Gum. My dad was
a carpenter and one time when I was sick, he brought home some Super Bubble Gum in his nail apron pocket.
We had a raccoon named Rickie. Rickie used to go through daddy's pockets, too... looking for peanuts.
Yep, you guessed it. Rickie found my Super Bubble and he was hooked on it, too. I still am... and now I'm 63 years old. I still chew Super
Bubble Gum every day and I always have some in my purse to share with others. ~ Patricia from Arkansas
When I was a youngster, my Uncle Clyde owned a corner store across the street from his house. Whenever
Mom went to see my aunt, I was always tag along so I could go over to see Uncle Clyde and get my piece of Super Bubble. All the other stores
sold it, but my uncle gave a piece to every child whenever they came to see him.
When he retired at the age of 80, he still had my cousin go to the warehouse and get him his Super
Bubble gum in case any kids came to see him. When I went to see him the week before he passed away, he had me a piece of Super Bubble on the
dresser and this is the one story I'll always have of the kindest uncle one could have! ~ Diane from Virginia
