Founded in 1936, Boyer Brothers specializes in producing candy bar items that come in cup form. One of their best selling is the Mallo Cup, milk chocolate coating containing coconut, with a whipped marshmallow cream center.
Another cup, Fluffernutter, is a combination of marshmallow and peanut butter covered with milk chocolate. Peanut Butter Cup has a peanut-butter center covered with milk chocolate. S'Mores combine graham cracker, marshmallow, and chocolate.
Other Boyer cup products are Bunch o' Nuts, Milk 'n Cookies, Smoothie and Minty Mallo. Smoothie has a center of peanut butter and is coated with butterscotch. Minty Mallo has mint-flavored marshmallow cream center covered with dark chocolate.
Today only Mallo Cups, Smoothies and Peanut Butter cups are still made by the Boyer Brothers company. Boyer is still redeeming the coupons. You can get a catalog and order form at their website.

Growing up in Upstate New York, my two brothers and I were allergic to chocolate. To compensate, Gramma Holland would buy Boyer Smoothies for us. I remember excitedly unwrapping the Smoothies and competing for the highest Smoothie points on the cardboard underneath the Smoothies. We would save up the points and after we had collected 100 points, Gramma would send in the points cards and we would get free Smoothies in the mail!
After moving to New Mexico in the early 1970s, we could not get Boyer Smoothies except when we would go back to New York and visit Gramma. Sometimes when she came to visit us in New Mexico, she would bring us some Boyer Smoothies. Boyer Smoothies bring back fond memories of my brothers and sisters and of Gramma Holland. ~ Cami from New Mexico

When my brother and I were little, we remember the first times we were allowed to walk by ourselves the couple of miles into our small home town. It involved crossing a bridge and so we felt extra brave with our hearts racing, holding hands and weighted down pockets stuffed with jingling pennies, nickels and dimes. I can still remember my knees shaking each time we were in the center able to look down at the Erie Canal hoping no car would need to drive across and shake the bridge! Our destination was the full stocked candy counter in the main street Variety Store! There we would buy wax bottles, candy dots, licorice, and my most favorite candy of all time, Smoothie Peanut Butter cups which I would eat before we braved the trip back home. Being by ourselves we could spend every cent and did! We would treasure our little bags of candy for days debating who made the best choices. I couldn't wait to taste Smoothies again! With my first bite I was a grinning 10 year old with my baby brother! Butterscotch and Peanut Butter are the flavors that take me back to a happy place. Thank you Old Time Candy! ~Jennie from Missouri
