Skittles memories... I remember
when my mom bought my first Skittles pack. I was in my mom's car with
my brother car when this happened. Anyway, I was bored and hungry so
my mom gave me the pack of Skittles. I opened it and it smelled so
good. The first one I took was a red one. I popped it in my mouth and
started eating it. I was instantly hooked with this candy. I was so
hungry, I ripped off the top and stuffed my mouth full of Skittles.
But that wasn't a good idea. I
started to choke. My brother wanted some so he tried to take the bag
from me. But he didn't know I was choking. As soon as tried to get it,
I accidentally spit all the Skittles that were in my mouth in his
face. I started laughing so hard, I started choking again. That was so
long ago. ooooo the good old days. I have not laughed so hard in a
long time. ~ David from New York
My first time having skittles was when I was in a
car coming home from red wing. I was starving and so my mom had bought me some. I was sitting in the car and when I got them I took one. it
was a green one. I enjoyed it soooooooooooo much I shoved all the rest of them in my mouth. My cheeks were so puffed up. My sister thought
that they were filled with air so she took her hands and pushed them against my cheeks and all of the skittles came out of my mouth and all
over her face. The skittles were so wet that they died her face a rainbow of colors. ~ Kaycey from Minnesota
Skittles was the first candy I ever got from a boyfriend. Danny and I were in the seventh grade and
he was smitten with the charm of my braces and glasses and decided to go the the school store to choose something to effectively woo me.
After some deliberation, he chose a bag of Skittles and presented them to me with a love note on
loose leaf paper folded up like a football. I enjoyed those Skittles immensely - not only because they were a gift of love, but because of
their fruity, chewy goodness. Every time I see a bag of Skittles, I smile and remember that day. ~ Stacey from New York
Skittles are my absolute favorite and have been since I was a little girl living in Hawaii. My big
brother use to try to take my Skittles all the time. I would hide my bag in my room and my brother always found it. When he found it he
would pour half of my bag in to his to make it seem that he had been saving his Skittles even though he finished his bag seconds after he
got it.
But, I became wise to him and began counting my Skittles, taping the bag shut and then writing the
number of Skittles on the tape. After that if he tried to take my Skittles I would have evidence that he took them and he would get in
trouble. To this day Skittles are still my favorite and now I send them to my brother every time he is stationed overseas. His most recent
package went to Afghanistan and now he shares his Skittles with the men in his unit. ~ Kim from Colorado
