When I was a little girl, I fondly remember the small Ma and Pa Grocery store 2 doors down from my house who sold many different kinds of "penny" candies. My best friend and I would go into the store and just stare into the candy case and wonder how we would spend our nickel.

Then we spied them, they were very different than the other candies! We were very curious about these funny shaped saucers, so we both got our monies worth, when the lady handed us our candies, we found that they rattled! So we carefully (as carefully as any five year old could be...) peeled back the top and lo and behold, inside were these teeney-tiny multi colored candy beads!!! They were so cute! We carefully slide the beads in our mouths and then sucked each piece of wafer until they totally dissolved.

From that day forward, we continued to buy our special treats and never changed the way we ate them. Thanks for letting me remember those days fondly!! ~ Regina from Florida

One person had eaten them as a young kid and not not seen them since. (he is now 52) And the other person had never seen them. They BOTH LOVED them. One of them ate them all within 1 hour.
