Reese's Peanut Butter Cup
memories... If I ever see a candy jar
full of all kinds of candy the first one I will get is the Reese's.
I would not even have to think about it I automatically get them.
Why? Is it the great peanut butter taste? Yeah, but also because
when I was in 4th grade every time we made a 100 on a test we got a
Reese's as a reward.
For perfect attendance I
remember watching the Home Alone video once it first came out and
all of us kids ran to the snack table and we fought over the Reese's
and ignored the chips, pretzel's and cookies that the teacher had
set at the table. This little girl started crying because she did
not get one and I had gotten like 5 so I gave her 2.
I always remember 4th grade
for some reason. I learned that if you worked hard in school you
always got a good Reese's reward and that simple thing I learned
helped me learn that if you work hard in life and do your best you
always get a good reward. ~ Diana from Texas
I remember when I was a kid back in the early 1960's my grandpa and
I would hop into his Cadillac to go for a ride. He sold fruit trees
to the local farmers so sometimes we would drive through an orchard
to visit one of his farmer clients.
One of his biggest clients also had a fruit market in the front of
the property. There they also sold soda pop and candy in addition to
the fruit from their farm. Whenever we visited this farmer my
grandpa would buy me a pop and any candy bar I wanted. Of course I
always chose the Reese's Peanut Butter Cups! The creamy chocolate
and that uniquely textured peanut butter center. Soooooo delicious!
The Reese's Peanut Butter Cup is still my very most favorite candy
bar, as much for the memories it brings back as well as for the
taste. ~ Alan from New York
