Rain-Blo gum memories... When I was in 6th grade my best friend and I came up with this great idea to
make money. Since we weren't allowed to chew gum in school we decided it would be fun to wear our gum to school.
We saved our allowance which was 1.00 a week until we had enough money to buy Rain Blo Gum, which we
picked because of the pretty bright colors, clear fingernail polish, and elastic string. We painted each ball (that we didn't chew) with the
fingernail polish so the colors wouldn't rub off and then made necklaces and bracelets. We took them to school and sold the bracelets for 50
cents and the necklaces for 75 cents. 35 years later I still chuckle inside when I see Rain Blo Gum on the candy rack. ~ Lisa from Louisiana
The first time I purchased
Rain-Blo Gum was in the seventh grade. There was a little corner
candy store across the street from my school. Junior high school was
quite a change for me, I remember buying Rain-Blo with my left over
lunch money at the end of the day for the long walk home.
I remember spacing out the
gum so that it would last the entire walk home. Pop one in at the
store, then another one half way to the park, another one when I
passed the park, and another one when I passed my old grammar
school. It's been almost 25 years since I last made that walk. ~ Rob

When I was 7 I used to chew
Rain-Blo gum all of the time. One day something broke, I can't
remember what it was but the teacher asked if any of us had any
super glue, and naturally none of us did. So while she went to find
some I snuck up and stuck my gum on it like glue and when she came
back she said that she hadn't found any but when she tried to use
the thing again it was fixed. Thanks rain-blo gum!!!! ~ Jane from
New York
