"candy you ate as a kid" story?
Share it here.My father would come home from work with a little paper brown bag. Not the size that a lunch would fit it, the size made just for candy. He would come home, say Hi to my Mom and we would just kind of hover around him until he would acknowledge us (he knew we were waiting for the candy, he didn't hide the bag as he came in the door) He wasn't mean and he didn't make us suffer too long. By the way there were 5 of us. He would bring us all home our favorite candy. Mine was Necco Wafers. The tasted great, and there were so many of them, never mind the assortment of color.
My Dad also got a treat in giving me the Necco Wafers. I didn't like licorice, so as I would come to the black one (licorice), I would run over to my Dad and he would immediately pop it into his mouth. Such a nice memory, you tend to forget these great things in life until you see something that triggers your memory. Thanks! ~ Dee Dee from New York
