Do you have a favorite "candy you ate as a kid" story? Share it here.My favorite candy as a kid was Necco Wafers. As a kid growing up in St. Jacob, Illinois and coming from a family of 11 kids I was 3rd from the youngest and we were very poor. I use to help the farmer (who we rented our house from) bail hay. When I was about 8 or 9 after he would pay me, I would ride my bike into town and buy the Necco Wafers. They lasted so much longer than other candy and candy was a very rare thing. You could chew them, suck on them and they did not melt in the hot summer sun. ~ Jim from Illinois
