I remember the first time I ate Necco Wafers was as a child in 3rd grade. Going to a Catholic school, we were all preparing to receive the sacrament of Holy Communion. Since we could not use the real thing, we used Necco Wafers! I couldn't wait until we practiced which was often!

After this I was hooked! I would walk a few miles to our local candy shop and use my allowance to purchase a few rolls. My brother, sister and I would all beg our parents to purchase these treats for long trips just so we could let the flavor fill out mouths for an extended period of time. Old Time Candy, I salute you for making these candies readily available for my enjoyment and for bringing those memories of childhood rushing back! ~ Brian from Connecticut
