"candy you ate as a kid" story?
Share it here.I remember eating this candy bar as a kid. I had not thought a lot about it until my daughter called me and said she had a craving (she’s pregnant). She had also eaten Mountain Bars as a kid and that was 20 some odd years ago. I have been in search of it where I live and have not been able to find it. She has also been looking for it where she lives which is in Nebraska. I’m so glad I found this website so I can get these for her. She can now introduce them to her kids and make her own memories! ~ Karen in Washington
We didn't get much allowance in the late 40's, but I remember Mountain Bars as a young child when I lived near Seattle. They cost twice as much as a regular candy bar, so I'd have to save to get one. The chocolate was heavenly, but the creamy center was to die for. It was worth the extra nickel to get a Mountain Bar. I don't see them very often, but when I'm in the Seattle area and I see a candy bar with a mountain picture I can imagine the taste - and when I bite into a Mountain Bar the memories come rushing back. ~Elayne in California
