I remember enjoying Mounds bars a lot when I was a kid in NYC during the 50's. On Saturday mornings it almost became a ritual to sit down in front of the Muntz television and watch Captain Gallant of the Foreign Legion starring none other than Buster Crabbe, who also played Flash Gordon during the 1930's.

I also enjoyed picking up the latest Classics comic and biking down to Riverside Drive where I would find a shady tree and armed with a Pepsi and a Mounds bar or two, go on mental adventures while perusing the pages of some historical saga like Ivanhoe or Moby Dick. With my time running out, those are the quiet moments I long for and I can almost feel myself drifting... drifting.... drifting....... drift.......... dr.. ~ Ted from West Virginia
