Do you have a favorite
"candy you ate as a kid" story?
Share it here.My adult daughter called me today really excited. I didn't realize how often I had told her about my favorite candy from when I was a little girl growing up in San Francisco. She said, "Mom come over right away, you won't believe what I just found online." She said Mom prepare to blow your diet. Then she showed me your web site and the beautiful picture of Mint Juleps.
I was instantly transported to San Bruno Avenue in the early 50's. My sister and brother and I would stop at the candy store to spend our nickel and then go next door to the theatre to spend 15 cents more for a ticket and sit back and try to just suck on the candy so it would last a long time, but I always ended up chewing it. Then my bratty sister would always stick out her tongue to show me that she still had hers when mine was gone. I'm placing an order today. Thanks so much. ~ Donna from California
