Wax Lips memories...
I just found this web site and I can remember Halloweens of school years ago. When I would beg and beg my mom or dad (he was easier) to buy those lips for my sister and me. We would run around with our costumes on kissing momma and daddy, kissing each other, or anyone who would sit still for it. I sure miss those days. ~ Sharon from Oklahoma Although there were many favs, I guess I would say I enjoyed the wax lips most. They had a nice flavor, and once I began to chew them, they lasted a long time. Other kids would be all through with their candies, but there I would be, still chomping away on those wax lips. I played different sports down at our local playground, and my mouth never dried out when I was chewing the wax lips. I still buy them here today, as an adult for an alternative to smoking cigarettes, and it works. It also brings back happy memories of my youth, and simpler times. ~ Sandy from Massachusetts When I was a child I was put in charge of taking some of the younger kids around the block on Halloween. We had just received wax lips as a "treat" and I had mine one. I was leaning on the front door of a neighborhood home waiting for the door to open. I had the wax lips on and I had been clowning around with the younger kids, making them laugh because the wax lips. We were having a great time until the front door opened and I fell backwards into the arms of the homeowner. I tried to explain to her what had happened but she could not understand me because I was still wearing my wax lips. In my mind I can still taste those wax lips! ~ Anna Lee from Tennessee |
