Super Bubble Gum memories...

The aroma of Super Bubble Gum holds many memories for me. My dad used to be "the" town barber in a small
town in Texas called, Shiner. He kept Super Bubble gum in his money drawer to hand out to the kids that got haircuts. My dad was known for his
bubble gum.
When you opened the barbershop door, the first thing that you smelled was Super Bubble gum. When he died, we
had a tub of Super Bubble gum at the funeral for the kids to take as a memory of my father. Some of the "kids" were grown men taking their last piece
in remembrance of the good times they had going to the barbershop.
Now, I keep Super Bubble in my first grade classroom. The smell takes me back to my dad and the many, many
people, whose lives he touched. I am carrying on a tradition that my dad started many years ago that kids, young and old, still and will hold dear. ~

Back when I was younger me and my friends used to play to see who can make the biggest bubble. Well one time my
friend blew a gigantic bubble and it blew up in his face. This gum is so sticky when you chew it like for over an hour. Yes that's how long we chewed
it because we kept on adding so many. So the guy had his whole face covered with gum and part of his front hair. Next day we saw him his head was
shaved. It was so funny since this guy always had long hair. We still laugh about it to this days. Good Times ~ Jessie from California
