Ahh.. Slim Jims. I remember the very
first time I tried a Slim Jim. I must have been 3 or 4 years old. Dad was
munching on one, so he offered me a bite. It looked like such an odd little
food, so I had to know. I tried it, and it was so juicy and meaty!
Dad made sure to teach me "how to eat a
slim jim". He said, "Don't chew it all up real quick. You have enjoy it." I
followed Dad's advice, and from that day on, I was hooked! Every time we went to
the gas station, I had to have a Slim Jim. Even to this day, I eat at least one
Slim Jim a week, making sure to savor each bite, and not rush it along. I love
Slim Jims, and the memories of my Dad that go along with it. ~ Sarah from

A long time ago... Memories... When I was
only 11 my family and I would go to Vermont every summer for 2 weeks. On the way
up there was this little shop called Sally's snack shop. As soon as you walked
in there was a very vast array of candy and other wonderful things.
Among those wonderful things was
something new to my eyes called "slim Jims" I had never heard of them at the
time but they would soon become my favorite thing to eat of all time. I went
back out to the car and unwrapped the Slim Jim and took my first bite. It was
and still is the most flavorful delicious food I have ever tasted and still
today at the age of 73. I still eat this tasteful treat daily. Thank you so much
for your website and all the Wonderful foods on it. ~ Alexander from New Jersey
Slim Jims have been part of my "traveling
food" since I was about 3 years old. We used to live in New York City and would
take driving vacations to Miami or to Michigan. Whenever my mother would let me
sit up front with my dad, we would stop at the next available store and buy Slim
Jims and YooHoos (the chocolate drink). To this day, I'm 42 years old now,
whenever I embark on a road trip - Slim Jims and YooHoo are a must-have! ~ Hilda

One of my favorite childhood memories is
going to watch my Dad bowl every Thursday night. Dad would always give me two
dollars, and I would go to the snack bar and always order the same thing. Two
Slim Jims, a bag of BBQ potato chips, and a coke. I love Slim Jims. And the mix
of the Slim Jim flavor, with the flavor of the BBQ potato chips, was my little
heaven on earth. Oh, to be ten years old again, watching Dad bowl on a Thursday
night. ~ Bruce from Texas
