Runts memories...

I love, love love Runts candy, the Banana ones are my faves... I remember going to the bus station one time to pick up my much older sister and dad got us all a handful of Runts from the machine, turning the handle to slow to get the most candy. I would buy the candies by the box when I was old enough to go to the store.

Recently, I rediscovered Runts through my children, my daughter was excited because of the release of the Charlie and the Chocolate factory movie and saw a Wonka symbol on the runts box. I found a tin collector can of Runts imported to Canada by Nestle, I carry it in my purse and take it out once in a while, it truly does make me smile. Santa brought each of my three children their own collector tin of Runts in their Christmas stockings this past year. ~ Sabrina from Maine

Being a little "OCD" as a kid, I always ate my Runts in a certain order.
Although, come to think of it, I never did eat the banana ones (and still
don't!). I would always eat the cherry first, then the orange, then lime,
and save strawberry for last.

As I grew up, I started to like the lime even more and would vary my "Runt order" slightly and maybe throw in a strawberry with a lime at the same time! (I was getting more experimental as I got older!) I found that if you put a cherry and a lime together it was a simply divine combination.

Now, when I eat runts, I still do not eat the bananas and still save the
