Rolo memories...

Back when I used to go the
corner arcade, Nickelmania, every game was just a nickel. My dad
would fix me up with just two dollars and I would be playing all
afternoon. My favorite part after playing all of those blinking and
shining machines was getting to stare glassy-eyed into the shiny
cases and feast my eyes on all of the prizes. But I always zoomed in
on the Rolos.
They were a perfect little pick-me-up
with a little button of caramel in the middle. Just enough to get stuck between
your teeth. Thank you for bringing these candies back into my life. ~ Rebecca

As a young girl, I went to a manners and
etiquette camp over the summers. The summers were long and candy was forbidden,
and we were not allowed to bring food of any sort. One of my fondest memories of
camp was when my grandmother sneakily passed my sister and me Rolos behind the
camp counselors' backs. I would hide them in my pocket until after bedtime, when
I would eat them with great joy. After a month without candy, the delicious milk
chocolate coating and chewy caramel center was heavenly. Thanks Grandma! ~
