Nestle Chocolate memories...

Nestle Crunch ad from 1967

When I was a little girl I was playing with some friends and eating a Nestle Crunch and one of my little friends asked me for a bite and I told her no. And we started fighting over it.

In the middle of us fighting over it a dog came up and took it away from me and chewed it up and you know chocolate is pretty deadly for dogs. Well I went into the house and told my mom that the dog took my candy bar and she ran outside and the candy bar was gone by then. We had to take the dog to the vet and get his stomach pumped. ~ Rebecca from Georgia

When I was about ten years old, my best friend Jodi and I would take our allowance and walk down to the Quick Pick Store at the end of the street. It didn't matter if it was the dead of winter or the hottest summer day we would always take our walk.  We would both buy nestle milk chocolate bars.  We would start eating them on our walk home and would have a contest on who could make theirs last the longest. Unfortunately, I was rarely a winner.  But I will always treasure those walks with my best friend. ~ Sheila from Michigan

Once a week, my father would come home from work with two Nestle chocolate bars, one for me and one for my brother. What a treat they were! I would slowly work my way around the edge first. I always called it the "curb". It was a little tricky trying to eat just the edge. To bit into the middle would spoil the fun. Then I would work my way around again, and again until I reached the very center. These little bites seemed to make it last longer. After all, I had to wait a whole week to taste it again! ~ Susan from Michigan
