Lik-m-Aid, Fun Dip memories...

When I was in the 7th and 8th grades, there was a candy store a block from my
junior high school. I would stop there every morning on the way to school and
buy a bunch of Lik-M-Aids for a penny apiece. During the school day I would sell
them to my classmates for two cents each or three for a nickel. I would eat the
profits and have enough left over to do the same thing the next day.
There were a lot of flavors then, and I always tried to buy a good assortment so
my customers could buy the flavors they liked. The teachers never caught me,
although sometimes they caught my classmates eating their Lik-M-Aids in class! ~

When I recall my favorite candy as a kid this memory stands out the best.
When I was in elementary school in the early 50's, there was a small neighborhood grocery store about a block away from our school. During our lunch
break and sometimes at recess, we would sneak off to the store to buy our Lik M Aid. We got busted more than once, because the early candy did not
have a dipping stick, you just used your finger. Our red fingers where always a dead giveaway! ~ Cheryl from Michigan
I love lik-m-aid, I always have. When I was a kid, my sister, my cousins and I would go to this gift shop and
buy a whole bunch of the single packs with the one stick for 10 cents each. I usually ate the powdery candy right out of the package and then saved
the sticks for later. They're my favorite part, so much so, that many moons later, I still buy them. I'm almost six months pregnant and the
biggest craving I have is for the lik-m-aid stick! ~ Jessica from New York
I remember we had a neighborhood play set when I was little. All the neighborhood kids would play at it and not
a lot of people had individual play sets. We just all played at the neighborhood playground. The memory that is most vivid to me is the tire swing
that was there. I remember sitting on it with my legs criss-crossed and my arms hooked around the chains that held it up.
We would normally buy little candies at my brother's baseball games at the concession stands. My favorite candy
to eat while swinging away on the tire swing had a little white sugar stick with it and a little pouch of flavored sugar candy that reminded me of the
powder to make cool aid with. Goodness, I loved Lik-m-Aid though! Thanks for bringing this memory back to me again! ~ Lana from Indiana
