Jujyfruits memories...
Jujyfruits were my favorite movie theater candy when I was a kid. The only place I ever ate them was at the movies, so they were always exciting. I used to like to hold each one up to the light of the screen during a movie so I could see what color it was before eating it. If it was a green one, I'd give it to my mom. My favorites were the black ones. I'd eat through the box slowly and try to time it so I'd finish box just as the movie ended. I still get excited today when I see that colorful yellow box. ~ Holly from North Carolina When I was 10 years old my brother and I went on a train trip with my dad. We each got to choose a treat to eat along the way. We both chose a box of jujyfruits. I dumped mine out on a little tray on my lap and sorted them by color. I didn't like the black ones so I put them back in the box and gave them to my dad to eat. I then ate the rest by color-first the red, then orange, then yellow, and finally the green ones last. I still like jujyfruits and yes I sort them by color. Now I put the black ones back in the box and give them to my husband. ~ Kathryn from Idaho I love all chewy, fruity candy so
naturally I love Jujyfruits. One particular summer I was on Jujyfruit kick and
could not get enough of them. I remember eating a big handful of them and
chewing away... the next thing I remember I was pulling a silver metal piece out
of my mouth! It was my filling! Those Jujyfruits pulled it right out of my
tooth. I don't blame the Jujyfruits and still get them when I go to the movies. |
