I really did not think these things were
around anymore... they hold a fond place in my heart. My Grandma always kept
some in glass dishes scattered around her house, and I loved them. She would ask
me to come over to mow the lawn or tidy up a bit for her, and she always filled
my pockets with these peanuts!
As I worked I would suck on the peanuts
and let the shell melt in my mouth until I came to the best part - the creamy
peanut butter filling! Yummy! As I got older I still visited my Grandma, but the
peanuts became harder to come by, but she always had some - even if it were just
one or two- stuck aside for me! ~ Sarah from Michigan
My Grandma and Grampa loved honey combed
peanuts, they always had a jar of them on the coffee table in the living room.
When we would go visit them "Nonnie" always let us take one or two but only if
Mom said it was alright. I used to suck on them until the shell disappeared and
then the sweet peanut butter center was a heavenly treat! Oh I can almost taste
it now!! MMMM!! I have been searching and searching for these I am so glad I
found them. I can't wait to get them in the mail! Thank You! ~ Lynne from
Illinois
I remember as a teenager purchasing
honeycombed peanuts from my son selling candy each fall as a fund raiser to get
money for their class to have parties or even go on a class trip to some place
local. I would order several pounds of the honeycombed peanuts.
I loved the delicious taste of them. The
way the candy melted in my mouth and the taste of the peanut butter mixed in
with the honey tasted like heaven. I didn't find the candy in the candy stores
for along time. I ran across your website and the memories came back to me. Now
once a month I always order the honeycombed peanuts I so dearly loved as a
child. ~ Glea from West Virginia
