Good and Plenty memories...

My childhood was spent with my
mother. She was a single mother and she spent every available moment to be
with me. Every Friday she would pick me up from school and we would head out
to pay bills and she always would have a box of Good and Plenty in the
console.
As we drove we would eat our delicious
candy and talk about our day. I miss my mother every minute of every day but I
keep her memory alive with a box of Good and Plenty in my console for my
daughter and I to share. ~ Joarji from Missouri
My favorite memory of Good and plenty was from when I was a preteen going to the theatre to see Elvis movies on
Saturday afternoon. After the box was empty you could fit the end of the box in your mouth and blow, and it would make a great whistling sound. I
believed I was choo choo charlie, blowing the horn every time Elvis sang a song. ~ Janet from Texas
Every Saturday my brothers and I would go to a double feature matinee. I guess my parents needed some peace and
quiet. I would save my allowance so I would have enough money to buy a box of Good and Plenty and a slushy. My brother would always finish his candy
first, and ask for some of mine. Sometimes I would share, sometimes I wouldn't. I can't afford double feature matinees every Saturday anymore, but I
still manage to get my Good and Plenty! ~ Becky from Pennsylvania
When
I was a little girl, about 4 years old, I remember walking to the gas
station with my dad to get some candy. I always got Good and Plenty's. I
got to spend some time with my daddy and we shared the box of candy on
the walk home. My father passed away 13 years ago, and I miss him. But
I'll always have that memory of our walks. ~ Bobbie from Florida
