Gold Mine/Gold Rocks gum memories...

Me and my little sister would go to the store and our mom said if we are good, we can get some candy. I
would get gold rocks gum if it was there. Then, when we got home, I would be a pirate and steal the gum from the good pirate village. Then I would
save some for after lunch and dinner.
One time, I slept with the gold rocks gum bag and I ate some gum before bed and I never spit it out. The next
day I swallowed my gum because I forgot I still had it in my mouth. After breakfast I ate all the gum that was left. I loved that gum so much that
anytime it was in the stores and I had money to buy it. I loved gold mine gum very much! ~ Angela from Pennsylvania
My husband and I used to bring our children to a very popular store in our neighborhood (this store is still in
business today) in the 1970s to treat them to candy from time to time. Our children always asked us to buy them Gold Rocks gum. They loved that Gold
Rocks gum came in a neat drawstring bag that they could save and reuse after they finished the gum. They also loved that the gum resembled gold
nuggets. I think in their minds they pretended that the gum was real gold nuggets, but tasty edible gold nuggets!
I didn't know that Gold Rocks gum was still being produced until I saw it for sale on your web site. Seeing it here really brought back lots of
memories. ~ Martha from Connecticut
When I was a child my father worked out
of town during the week. On the weekends when he came home, on Saturday night,
he would take us all out to dinner. We all loved eating at the Cracker Barrel
Restaurant, so usually that is where we would go. That is where I got my first
bag of Gold Rocks Gum. I guess I was somewhere around 5 years old. It was hard
to find and that is the only place I remember getting it back then.
Through the
years, my brother, sister and I would always get the same thing every time we
went to eat there, a bag of Gold Rocks Gum. 40 years later, I still eat at that
same restaurant and they still have that Gold Rocks Gum. I know this because I
have 2 children that are grown and they have been getting their own bags of Gold
Rocks Gum since they were old enough to chew gum. I now have a new grandchild
and when he is old enough, he will also be begging "Grandma" for his own bag of
Gold Rocks Gum. I don't think it will take him long to figure out that I won't
be sharing mine! ~ Kimberly from Tennessee
