I have always loved Dots but I never
liked the lime or lemon flavors. However, all that changed in 7th grade when I
met a girl who was to become one of my very best friends. Why are we so close?
She loved Dots as well, but only the lime and lemon flavors.
Even now, years later, we still share
boxes of Dots and even have Dots t-shirts! Even now, years later, we still share
boxes of Dots and even though we are both in college at separate universities,
the friendship remains strong. You can see from our Dot preferences, it was
meant to be. ~ Elizabeth from PA.
Dots!! Wow!! This was the first candy I
ever remember trying as a child. My family and I went to the movies to watch
Star Wars. I devoured a whole box before Hans Solo was introduced in the movie.
After the movie I remember my Dad buying one more box for the ride home.
I just
love the texture and the burst of flavor from each one. My favorite was to eat a
yellow and green at the same time. My wife to this day makes fun of me for my
candy choice. I still purchase Dots from time to time at our local grocery
store. With all the new candies on the market, Dots is the one I continue to
buy. I can never grow tired of the great candy. Every time I eat Dots I think of
the "Force". ~ Simon from Tennessee
The first time I had ever tried Dots was
in the movie theater. My aunt and uncle would take my brother and me if we got
good grades. I was probably 9 when I went and got my first box. My favorite
color was and still is yellow. I liked their small bite-size form, their chewy
licorice-like feel, their many different colors and their great taste. They
became my favorite candy quickly. They are hard to find around the city I live
in though. So, now every time I go to the movies I have to have a box of Dots. ~

This is an adult story! I turned 50 on
April 22, 2006. And the best present I got was a big, bright yellow DOTS pillow
from my three children. They know their dad's favorite candy is DOTS. Indeed, I
root through their Halloween bags every year in search of those little boxes. And
a movie without a box of dots just isn't the same. So you don't have to be a kid
to have great memories of this delightful little candy! ~ Tom from Ohio
