Chupa Chups memories...

Chupa Chups

I remember selling Chupa Chup suckers my junior year in French class -1983 - wow what a flashback. We were raising money for a trip. Not being a very good salesman, I'm sure my parents probably bought over half of what I sold.

So I, always trying to be like my Dad, a big coffee drinker, remember eating a lot of the coffee flavored Chupa Chups that year. The other students in the class were ranting and raving over the strawberries and cream while I was sitting happily somewhere near my dad eating a coffee flavored Chupa Chups while he sat in his recliner drinking his cup of coffee.

It brings a huge smile to my face remembering the little things. Funny how a simple candy can bring back a flood of memories-memories of a wonderful, great man, one who I am proud to be anything like. ~ Nan from Ohio

As a little girl, my music teacher would always treat her students with Chupa Chups on Friday if we behaved through the school week. I would always get so excited for Friday to arrive and I would always pick the strawberry and cream pop.

I remember there was a week when the teacher was out of Chupa Chups and tried to substitute the candy with regular lollipops. All my classmates got very angry at the teacher and some passed on the opportunity to pick a lollipop. The teacher then gave the students the option to take a lollipop this week or wait until next week and she would let us pick 2 Chupa Chups! I waited for the next week and got 2 strawberry and cream pops. ~ Renae from Pennsylvania

Just seeing that word Chupa Chups brings a feeling of happiness that takes over my body. To this day 10 years after my first experience with this delicious candy I can't help but smile. I was just starting a brand new high school in a new town and it was only a few short days into the new year. I was in drivers ed class and they split us into pairs and I got paired with this purple haired girl.

I was like Oh Great! so the first day driving we got to stop at a gas station and she goes in and buys Chupa Chups and come out and insist that I have one and I took one mostly in fear but after I tried it my mouth had a party! and we became instant friends and are still friends 10 years later with our families now! So thank you Chupa Chups for my best friend! ~ Tiff from Tennessee
