I read the Cowboy Soda story using the orange with the Mint stick. We used to soften up a fresh lemon the same way as the orange rolling it around the counter or table top. We would then cut a hole in the end of the lemon and insert the mint stick. Just suck the juice through the lemon. The combination of the sour lemon and sweet candy was so good.
