"candy you ate as a kid" story?
Share it here.I always associate Licorice Pipes with the Old West. Why? I could only find this candy when we went to places like Frontier Land at Disneyland or when we visited old west ghost towns like Calico, or Virginia City.
My dad always loved licorice and so I reasoned that by getting a Licorice Pipe I could pretend to be an adult yet live in a sweet, kid's world of cowboy fantasy. I'd buy the black Licorice Pipe and make it last as long as I could. I'd bite a bit off then pretend I had a chew of tobacco in my mouth. Anything to be a grown-up cowboy. ~ Steve from California
