"candy you ate as a kid" story?
Share it here. When I was in high school, we had vending machines in one of the hallways. Each day, I would buy a bag of Lemonheads and secretly eat them during class even though there was a "no eating" rule. I absolutely loved them and didn't think anyone had noticed that I was eating them every day. I found out that someone had taken notice on Valentine's day.
One of my classmates, Matt, approached me just before I was about to purchase my daily stash. He told me that he had noticed how much I liked Lemonheads, and that he wanted to do something nice for me for Valentine's day. He handed me a bag, grinned, and said he hoped I had a nice day.
Of course, that is a strange gift to get for Valentine's day, but it was special to me because it was my first Valentine's gift ever. I am 31 years old now and have received much more extravagant gifts since that bag of Lemonheads, but I still have the empty bag he gave me. It's tucked away in my memory book and always brings a smile to my face when I see it. ~ Lisa from Alabama
