From the time I can remember going to the show with my brother most every Saturday in Long Beach, Ca. in the early 1940's I would buy Jujubes & he would buy Jujyfruits. We would try to make them last until the movie was over. It never happened even if we put only 1 or 2 in our mouth at one time.

I think the Jujubes & Jujyfruits were 5 cents a box so if we had 15 cents after paying 50 cents each to get into the show we bought a third box of Jujubes or Jujyfruits and shared. Those were truly the good old days. ~ Douglas from California
