When i was a child (8) or so growing up in Michigan as a latch key kid. That means you let your self in after school with a key. My dad would leave me combos for an after school snack. When we moved when I was thirteen from Michigan to Washington State in 1985, my dad told me things were really different in the PNW then the Midwest. He was telling me things the stores had and didnt have. For kicks he said here is your last bag of combos. I said what? My dad says yea, didn't I tell you they don't have Combos in Washington State. I almost cried. I was 11 by the way. He just laughed and said I am joking. We got here and, guess what? He was right. Until about 5 years later they started showing up in dollar tree stores. I was so happy! :) ~ Dyanna from Michigan |
