I have a recurrent dream at Christmas time. Smiling under a tree, eating little golden coins, I am in the bliss of sweetness. This dream feels life-like. In fact, my sister was reminiscing and asked me, "By chance, do you recall those golden chocolate coins dad used to put under the Christmas tree?"

Suddenly, I felt awakened. My dream was a lingering childhood memory?!?! Extraordinary and life-long are the impressions this small golden sweetness has had on me. Now I’ve discovered some tradition, a little morsel about myself, and the truth of the golden coins. ~ Joretta from California
