story? Share it here.
It started when I was seven,
back in the early 50's. We had just moved to a new house,
everybody was busy and I was sitting on the front steps with
nothing to do. My Grandfather was going out to get a newspaper,
and told me to come along with him. He bought the newspaper and
a box of chocolate babies. I wasn't supposed to tell my brothers
or sister about the candy. It was our secret.
It was a two block walk to the store, but the box never made it
home anyway but empty, and would get hidden in the trash before
we went into the house. This went on for years, and it stayed
our secret... until now. ~ Melissa from New Jersey
