"candy you ate as a kid" story?
Share it here. When I was growing up, which you may guess was not so recently, my birthday was very close to George Washington's birthday. For my birthday parties, my mother had a special tradition where she used to put out paper axes with a hollow tube, filled with cherry heads. You know... George Washington and the old "I cannot tell a lie" story about chopping down the cherry tree?!? I guess party favors and themes have come a long way since then, but the cherryheads were definitely a popular hit in my day and I wouldn't be surprised if those kids still remember them too. ~ Julie from Pennsylvania
