"candy you ate as a kid" story?
Share it here.My father came here from Lithuania in 1916, married my mom in 1932. Her first box of candy was Cella's Liquid Chocolate Covered Cherries. Needless to say as kids this is the best treat we had growing up during the depression. Not able to have all we wanted under the circumstances, we sure developed a craving for them. Thinking all chocolate covered cherries were the same, found out that Queen Anne and others were loaded with a cream filling... not at all to our liking. Since then, and I'm 71 now, I've eaten hundreds of boxes of Cella's chocolate covered cherries, but can only find them around Christmas or this year around Valentines Day.
I'd love to have all that I can eat as I can eat a box at one sitting. My husband who passed away recently kept me supplied when they were available here in Colorado. However I am handicapped and cannot always get out when they are available here. Have a grand and glorious day. ~Betty from Colorado
